Rob Scott was born and raised in Alma, a small, rural town in South Georgia. Through his father, Rob discovered his love for nature and the great outdoors. During high school he remembers absorbing every article in North American Whitetail and Bow Hunter magazine, and trying to learn everything he could about the sport of hunting. While in college he realized his true passion was hunting and eventually came back home to Alma.
While working on power lines for Pike Electric, Rob happened across a plantation in Dooly County, Georgia that was in need of a guide/manager. He landed the job and loved every minute of it! After a couple of years Rob decided to head to the Midwest and ended up in Illinoiswhere bow hunting is the dominant method of hunting. Rob served as a guide for about two years and in 1999, with the support of his wife Frankie, decided to follow his dream and open Buckhorn Outfitters, a fully guided whitetail operation in the heart of big buck country. Rob loves the sport of hunting and helping others harvest giant bucks year in and out.
In Illinois Rob met fellow bow hunter Stan Potts and they soon became great friends. Stan introduced Rob to the concept of videoing his whitetail hunts. Video taping has opened a new door for Rob and he is looking forward to exciting adventures and meeting new people that share his love of hunting.
Rob and his wife Frankie have two daughters, Carson and Abby, and are expecting a son, Madden, in December. Other than his family, there is nothing Rob is more passionate about than the outdoors, whitetails and hunting.
