The very first memory Dean Scott had as young boy was following along behind his father or grand parents while hunting in the Mississippi swamps. Dean was born and raised in south Mississippi where hunting and fishing was just away of life, for Dean every holiday meant the Mississippi swamps became home, either by spending time in a one room cabin hid back in the swamp or boating down the Pascagula river and staying in the family floating houseboat.
This passion for the outdoors and all types of hunting and fishing would do nothing but become more intense with each passing year.
After hunting his entire life on south Mississippi public hunting ground with no opportunity to harvest a Pope and Young class whitetail and with the arrival of the first VHS deer hunting videos showing the opportunities that existed in the northern states to connect with a trophy buck, Dean desired to go north to hunt bigger and larger whitetails. In 1998 with encouragement from his wife Terisa , he ventured north to Pike county Illinois. Dean immediately found success and a love for chasing those big Mid-West whitetails.
Traveling each fall to the Mid-West to hunt whitetails soon became a way of life. One morning while walking across a gravel road, Dean crossed paths with Mark Scroggins producer of the Fever T.V. show. A friendship began instantly, Mark recognized immediately Dean's intensity for chasing big whitetails and asked Dean would he consider filming his hunts for the "Fever". Dreams do come true!
Dean soon became obsessed with capturing video footage of his whitetail hunts. In this quest Dean realized the need for a better camera arm to support his video camera, Thus the 3rd Arm Camera support was born. 3rd Arm units are now sold to hunters and video enthusiast all over the world.
Dean was soon introduced to producer and professional hunter Tom Miranda who was to inquire about camera arm units for staff members. A friendship started immediately and Dean was invited to join the Domiant Buck pro staff. Dreams do come true!
